My 7-year-old daughter doesn’t like sweets. No candy, no chocolates, cake, or pie. So, my husband and I have always had to be creative when it comes to stocking stuffers. Whether your kiddos or loved ones don’t care for candy, or you’re just tired of doing the same old thing, here are a few stocking stuffer ideas that are sure to bring excitement on Christmas morning.
There are, probably literally, a million possibilities in the soap category. I once bought my daughter a soap with a mermaid inside. And for my mom, who loves the ocean, I bought one that looked like a wave. For a friend who is a self-educated astronomer, I bought one that looks like planets in space.
And if you’re looking for gifts that gives back, our luxury soaps here at beCAUSE minded are a great choice! The fan favorite for kids is our Green and White Owl Soap. And for adults, the Barista’s Blend is the best seller.
2. Lip balm
Who doesn’t love a great lip balm? While we haven’t found one that fits our corporate gift supplier criteria for beCAUSE minded, there are some companies we love in the lip balm space. River Organics has a great set of products and we love their strong sustainability practices, which affect their formulations and packaging. If you’re looking for something a little more colorful for kiddos, check out Moon Valley Organics whose mission is to protect pollinators and create a pesticide-free future.
3. Bath bombs
Really, this category could be anything luxurious (or fun in the case of kids) for the bath. We (halfway) jokingly say our Honey Oatmeal Bath Bombs smell like heaven. These are a great addition to any bath-taking man or woman’s stocking. To add some fun for your kiddos, check out bath bombs with toys inside, like our Kid’s Bath Bomb.
Let’s be clear. If you don’t do this right, gifting socks can be a total bust. But, if you get fun socks that are great for the person you’re gifting, these can be one of the most memorable gifts of the holidays. One year, we got our daughter unicorn socks with 3-D wings on the back. She now calls these her “fast socks” because they make her fly. I’d say that was a home run. If you’re gifting to someone like me, thick (and cute) house socks, like our Pahari Socks, would be a hit.
When you find your soul pen, it’s lifechanging. I didn’t realize how big of a difference a pen can make until I tried out our Lovoso Shiloh Pen. It’s just so beautiful and writes effortlessly. A nice, unique pen is a great addition to almost anyone’s stocking!
For kids, having a pencil or pen with a fun top or design can make it more fun to do homework, write stories, etc. To make it even more memorable, you could add a note saying what this pencil or pen can be used for. For my 7-year-old, I could get her a pencil with a fairy on it and write her a note telling her I love how lively her imagination is and that she can use this pencil to create stories that are uniquely hers to tell. Adding a note with the pencil or pen is a great way to add words of affirmation with your gift.
Stockings don’t have to be an afterthought. With a little planning, the gifts in stockings can be full of meaningful and empowering gifts that delight your spouse or little one.
What’s your favorite non-candy item to include in stockings?
