Which Kind of Blanket Person Are You?

One interesting thing we discovered when sourcing products for our wellness gift boxes is there are only two types of people when it comes to blankets. Let’s use our team as an example. While we all enjoy snuggling up on the couch to read a book, watch a show, or sometimes even write a blog like this one, we are clearly divided into two camps: the plushes and the throws. Now, we don’t feud like the Capulets and Montagues, but it’s been interesting to dive deeper into this silent division on our team.

Jacquelyn is a thrower: a person who prefers throw blankets more than other styles. Jacquelyn has infinitely more style than Noraliz and me. The items in her home all coordinate nicely, whereas my home is an eclectic hodge-podge of gifts and things I’ve collected on my travels. Jacquelyn likes a blanket that can keep you warm, but also add to the aesthetic of the room. At beCAUSE, our go to throw is our Ash Camp Blanket.

Noraliz is a plushy girl. She’s all about the way the blanket makes you feel. She talks a lot about textiles, often commenting on the softness of various shirts. So, it makes sense that the softness of the blanket is how she rates its quality. She is in love with our Cream and Gray Sherpa Blanket. It’s thick, super soft, and we suspect it could keep you warm even in Alaska.

I, myself, am in Noraliz’s camp. I love the plushy blankets that are snuggly and warm. I am super cold-natured, so I use blankets just about 24/7, and I love the thick, soft ones. That said, there is one beCAUSE minded blanket that surprisingly stole my heart a couple of years ago. The White Loom Chevron Blanket is one of the most beautiful blankets I’ve ever seen. It’s much thicker than your average throw. It’s super soft and it’s large enough for 2 people. So, while I would almost always say I am a plushy girl, the beauty, softness, and size of this blanket drew me to the other side!

We recognize that including blankets in our personal and corporate gift boxes is a bit unusual. Most corporate gift suppliers choose items that will fit in tiny boxes because the truth is, it’s just more cost-efficient. That’s probably why we’ve never seen blankets in gift boxes anywhere else. But the feedback on the blankets has been so positive that we know we made the right call!

Is there a better way to give someone some encouragement to rest and relaxation than by giving them a blanket? We don’t think so.
